It is my first time to join this marathon named Run For Your Lives Malaysia, first night version and it held at Taman Botani, Shah Alam on 31 December 2016. Thank you so much, Selina Wing who invite me to join her to experience the scary event. Besides that, it is one of the exciting event especially when the wonderful day where we have to countdown to a new beginning with an exhilarating and thrilling end to year 2016. it means that we have to be survive and avoid from many zombie will chase us as we have a certain life span before taken by zombies.
What a surprisingly news that it is getting overwhelming response from youngster especially teenagers who are extremely exciting to participate to be zombies or survivors as I can see about their excitement around Taman Botani. I never expect to see that a lot of runners came here so very earlier then they are queuing up so long and take 1 to 3 hours before get t-shirt and wrist tags at the race kit collection at the booth. Firstly, it looks like messy because it has organized by Monkey Theory first time. Thus, it leads to the disappointment response. Anyways, I enjoy to explore about this environment because I have a mix feeling such as excitement and frightening at the same moment.
After that, we explore different booths where we have spotted such as Zombie Make Up, Zombie Transformation Centre, Surau, Baggage, Merchandise, Coupon, VIP, Fod Truck and many more. Even Live Stage is attracting many runners who come to celebrate New Year in the lively, enjoyable and amazing environment. Wow, there is so many zombies walk around us. Sometimes some of them scare me due to their horrible transformation appearance suddenly. At the same time, we buy two donuts for sharing to eat it together to fill our stomach.
Even there is some professional make up on one of the participants who become zombie during zombie run. The professional making up is pretty awesome and wonderful.
Obviously, I notice that some of zombie runners who are enjoying to take a photo on themselves before the waves flag time off.
We have a difficult to discover where is the Start Line and finally we spot the map because I take a photo earlier.So lucky! Oh my God, there is so many survivors are waiting for the waves which is to flag off at Start Line. After few minutes later, we start to alert ourselves after we enter the dangerous zone. In addition, all the survivors included my friends and I have to make sure that we run away and escape from the infected zombies appear and arise anywhere and ensure that we always be survived and run faster as long as possible along 5 KM.
Otherwise there is no easy when we walk through journey to face the zombies in order to complete 5KM and have to join the various obstacles such as Slaughter House, Crawl Fence, Slaves Vault, Ladder, Smoke House and Finish Fence will be held where we have to overcome all the obstacles and risk area before we can enter the safe zone successfully. Therefore, we always be frightening and encounter zombies in the most darkness in the jungle anywhere. First time I have experienced the thrilling event and always alert that I have to be careful when face with zombies as well. I never expect that we take 2 hours to complete 5KM (9.30pm to 11.30pm) As the result, we get zombie apocalypse experience in the darkness at the jungle before countdown New Year.
Honestly, I am a bit frighten when see some of zombie scary me suddenly however my friends are not scare with all zombie where they appear anywhere. One of the scenario where I witness to see some of the participant fall down on the road due to their frighten feeling especially some of the survivor push them to be survived. It is really horrible to see the apocalyptic situation. We do not give up to run to the safe zone non stop. Thank you so much, all of my friends who protect me indirectly. Lastly, we complete 5km after 2 hours. So exhausting!
We are truly to experience the zombie run with the most darkness situation. Anyways, this event is quite gruesome and horrendous. Otherwise my good friends and I have a wonderful and precious moment where we join this event together and celebrate the countdown New Year of Year 2017 during the zombie run first time. By the way, Happy New Year to you guys.

I was supposed to combine RFYL 2016 & RFYL 2017 event in one video, but since the Z-Virus for RFYL 2017 has been safely contained and zombies prevented, I'm releasing this video only now.
